I did it! Goodness knows how... but I did!!
I won't lie this run was hard. Not for the fact it was the longest I'd ever run but the route was very hilly and even though it may look a lovely day (which any other circumstances it would of been) it was boiling hot as there was hardly never any shade whilst running.
I had three problems during the race; 1. was towards the end my knee that had the two operations started to ache. 2. I had what I think was an anxiety attack part of the way around where I thought I might faint (a lot of people did!) the episode was over and I put it down to heat and lack of water. 3. There is a delicious blister on one of my foot arches!!
Apart from those three I'm so chuffed with myself. I know I don't want to stop running now! I also dont want my anxiety attack to put me off, as if any of you who suffer from them will know it can make you want to avoid doing whatever activity you were in when you had one. No way I'm gonna troop on.
As you can see in the third picture and the first one of me running... I befriended people along the way! I met two people at my hotel that were in the group above me and then two lovely girls who we ran together for about the first 10k then they slowed and I carried on.
Either way it was lovely and I just want to say a massive thank you to Nike + and all the team!
Roll on the next one!!
