Running in the rain!

I'm trying to be a good girl and still keep clocking up my running miles.  It's awfully hard when all you want to do is stay curled up in bed, and better yet keeping dry!  I know, I know I've said over the winter how I never wanted to train during the cold... I'm happy to admit I'm a fair weather running/cyclist!
The other day the sun was in fact shining in the morning, so up I jumped and thought "Right I must get running... and then I can enjoy my day knowing I've done some exercise!"
On went my running trousers and the rest of my running gear amnd I was ready to go. If any of you have met me, you will know I carry the world in my Mary Poppins handbag, so going out for a run with nothing can be really hard.  I added an accessory of a Pocketz Armbag whilst out running, that had my house keys, phone and ipod in.  Very nifty!
It is ideal if you want to keep your hands free but your essentials safe, the bags fit securely around your arm with an elasticised strap. Large enough to store iphones, money, cards and makeup and available in various styles and colours.  You could possibly use it when you're off to a festival (instead of a bumbag!), Night Club Goers, Gardeners, Joggers, Dog Walkers, Campers – the list goes on!

Who said you cant run and have a bag with you?! I love the fact I could have my keys, phone and ipod save.  I often will put my keys in my pocket... sometimes my bra and I spend the majority of my run thinking "Have I still got my keys?"

I decided whilst running I'd set myself for a 10k next,  I'd previously ran half marathons but I tend to get bored of them.  I dont enjoy the experience and find 10k's much more pleasant.  I am going to book a few 10ks over the next few months and get training.  If you're from the East Midlands area and fancy forming a running team... get in touch.

  1. That is pure dedication to run in such horrible weather.

    Good luck with the 10k.

  2. Ooh I must get my hands on one of those bags, very handy! It's not so bad now when it's still cool enough that I wear a coat when I go running but it'll get trickier in summer. Thanks for the tip! :) x
