London Fashion Week AW13: Day 1

I couldn't quite believe how quickly London Fashion Week AW13 had crept up.  It felt like only five minutes ago we all gathered at Somerset House for a week full of non stop fashion for SS13, and now the next installment was upon us.

I am never 100% sure what to wear for London Fashion Week, but as I have to travel with luggage, I do have to plan careful so I'm not taking my entire wardrobe for the ride! I decided to draft up a moodboard for day one.

LFW Style1
I'd packed my suitcase full of outfits and was ready to head to London for Fashion Week.  After having my hair styled by Toni&Guy and wearing a combination of Topshop, Next, Fiorelli and Carvela, I was finally ready for day number 1.

My outfit for day 1:
What I'm wearing:  Jumper - Topshop Knitted Grid Stitch - £34.00,  Leggings - Topshop Block Check Denim Leggings - £25.00, Bag - Fiorelli Be Happy Grab Bag - £59.00, Necklace - Topshop Multi Cap Necklace - £15.00, Bangles - Next Lime and Black Bangle Five Pack - £12.00, Wedges - Carvela Agate Suede Black Wedges - £95.00
I just really wanted to be colourful for my first day without being too much.  The gorgeous Fiorelli bag was the perfect addition to the outfit and really sets the look off perfectly.
I had a variety of different  shows to attend on my first day, but before you read any further my day was completely all over the shop.  Unfortunately some of the shows were very over subscribed so I spent a lot of time enjoying the various street styles from the cobbles of Somerset House.
I visited One Aldwych Hotel to see the team from Handpicked Media, who had a number of brands exhibiting their products. On this particular day I had the chance to see the exciting new make-up collection by Superdry.
There were a number of shades of colour in a number of make-up pieces.  There were even vibrant nail files and a gorgeous pink blusher brush - which most were immediately drawn to!
Another company displaying their item was called Playful Promises, their lingerie was classically designed but extremely inventive and current.
I adored the bra and brief sets on the table, mainly because of the stunning colours, the fabric used and of course the cheeky touches of lace.
Next on my list was a well needed hand massage, with Seascape products from Jersey. First thing I must tell you is that these smell absolutely divine and of course my hands, (that had been carry so many bags the day before) were more than happy to indulge!
I won't lie my day didn't exactly go according to plan.  I had invites to Felder Felder, (which I was extremely excited about seeing), Sass & Bide, Jena Theo, and RWC Runway Collection; Nian Janucha-Jale Hurdogan

The Jena Theo show was tucked in The Portico Rooms; a collection full of electric pinks, dripping colour prints, florals mashed under bolts and even the Happy Hardcore rave face as the backdrop of the show.  It looked very early 90's rave but with exaggerated sizes, patent footwear and overall a collection I truly adored.
Various shows clashed, but I most disappointed I missed Felder Felder as it was over subscribed.  I was most upset that my Sass & Bide invitation arrived on the Friday at my home when I was already in London, so unfortunately I didn't get to see that either.
To round it up I didn't get to view very much, but I certainly had a float around the exhibition to see some of the designers.
