It’s that time of year when all you want to do is dress up and head out. I know i’ve spoken before about wanting to become a bear in the winter and hibernate… but Christmas & New Year is whole different kettle of fish. I love nothing more than dressing up and going out, whether its for meals, a casual meet up or a full blown extravagant party! I love it. One area I’ve always struggled with is make up. I’m happy to admit that sometimes I’m utterly clueless about what colours to wear, what shades and so on and so forth.
I was recently sent some items from Bourjois Paris Fantasy Range. I’ll be honest it has stared at me each time I’ve come to blog because I didn’t know when was the right time to wear it… until now!
In the range included…
|Bourjois Smoky Effect Eyeliner|
|Bourjois Eye Pearls Eyeshadow|
Being that I’m fair, I find it very hard to work out how to create a look for a night out. Not even a big night out… just that casual drink or in my current case Christmas celebration meal.
Bourjois have their Pearl eyeshadows that come in various colours and shades, I’ve gone for the greens and browns because this is slightly out of my comfort zone with make up. I hardly ever wear eyeshadow… which I know fashion/beauty faux pas! However this eye shadow teamed with their smoky effect eyeliner was perfect. The brush on the eyeliner gently smudges the colour drawn onto your eye to create a sexy look. Its easy to use, even for someone like me!
If anyone knows me, you’ll know I love lipstick. It just polishes off any look. This deep rouge is just devine and I was sold straight away!
As you can see, I haven’t gone overboard at all. I like to keep things simple with make up and so I’ve merely created a (mild) smoky look. The greens and browns are beautiful and really set my look off but all very subtly. I may for tonights new years shindigs go crazy with my make up… watch this space!
With the fab lipstick I used Lipcote to keep the colour on. Which, to my utter surprise really stayed on all night. Definetely one to think about adding to your make up bag.
