What a whirlwind it’s been over the past few weeks, I barely have sat still and if you’ve read my other posts you’ll know I was an extremely lucky lady to attend to The British Fashion Awards.
My boyfriend and I stayed for the event at The Savoy hotel, before heading over to St Pancras station to get our train back to the midlands. We decided as it was a special occasion we’d pop into the exquisite Searcys Champagne Bar.
I have been back and forth to London for as long as I can remember, I started heading over to London as a little girl with my Mum when we’d stay over and see a show. Then as I got older I came for shopping days, then press events and now I was in London following on from an awards ceremony. Everytime I’d come to London I’d always be in some sort of a rush, my ticket would fly through the barrier and I’d zoom off down the escalators to wherever I running for. This time I had a chance to enjoy the beautiful station that is St Pancras, there are numerous shops, places to eat and of course the Searcy Champagne Bar – a place I’d admired but never dared to go to. I’m not sure why but I always thought I wouldn’t fit in having a drink there, and I guess this is why I’d never been before now.

My boyfriend and I decided as we were all dressed up (and this was a special occasion) we would head over to enjoy a glass of champagne. One lovely thing was that when we arrived we had a lot of space to ourselves, it wasn’t overly busy at all which made the experience extremely relaxing. If you’ve ever seen the champgne bar you’ll know it’s all open and does look like it could be quite chilly, being that I can’t stand the cold I sat down thinking to myself I’d need to keep my coat on but the member of staff assisting us showed us their nifty heating system whilst you are sat there. Honestly I have never been so happy, I was warm and could enjoy how magnificent St Pancras station was.
After getting nice and toasty sitting in my pretty Darling dress, next on my list was to order some champagne. After talking to the lady who served us and debating, we decided to go with Duval Leroy NV Brut, which was £9.00 a glass and £53.00 for a bottle. I had already had some wine before the British Fashion Awards and as it was a school night I didn’t want to over do it – instead I simply sat and indulged in the moment with my glass.
Whilst sat enjoying my glass of bubbles, I noticed on the menu it gave you a variety of options. For example if I hadn’t already had a few drinks I would of loved to do the Tasting Trio for £16.00; 3 tasting size champagne flutes of Besserat de Bellefon Cuvée des Moines Brut NV, Bollinger Rosé NV and Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs NV. If you didn’t want just a glass of champagne you could have champagne cocktails, fruity bubbles and even non alcoholic cocktails. Whilst experiencing some fabulous bubbles you could also order some delicious nibbles to go with your visit, and even sign up to the Searcy’s Bubble Club!
Whilst sat there with the one I love and having had such a fantastic evening, I had been completely won over by my Searcys experience – hence why I’ve decided to even blog about it all.
noticed they have a New Years Eve party planned which looks to be
absolutely amazing… Moulin Rouge fancy dress and champagne?! I’ll have
two tickets please!
If like me you weren’t sure about popping into the Searcy’s Champagne bar, I couldn’t reccommend it more, great staff, fabulous drinks and an experience I’d happily revisit. Next time you’re in London… why not stop by?!
