Gone
are the days that clothing in supermarkets is seen as a fashion no-no,
F&F is totally going hell for leather in the fashion industry not
only with their beautiful clothes, but because they have taken a positive leap forward by opening a brand new
boutique.
With all this in mind how I controlled my excitement I’ll never know, but I was one of the very lucky bloggers to be selected to work with F&F. I wasn’t sure exactly what I’d be doing but as the story unfolded I discovered I was going to be modelling for them. “Me? model? Get out I’m only 5ft4!”
I’ve always been a fan of F&F clothing but last year my love began to rise as I really fell in love with some of their dresses, jumpers and loafers. I was interested to find out what the designers had in store for the partywear we’d be modelling.
After weeks of having to keep super quiet I finally discovered those lucky bloggers joining me; Rebecca, Caroline, Sarah and Sherrin. A few messages back and forth with Rebecca I finally felt at ease to head to the shoot in London.
Me and Sherrin taking a cheeky photo whilst waiting for our photos to be taken
My favourite girlies
When I arrived I headed straight for the coffee before being ushered in to sort my clothes and hair out for the shoot. Unlike the others I hadn’t managed to get the time off work to go for my clothes fitting, but as I got to the venue early I went straight in to indluge in the lush rack of clothes! I must admit I was spoilt for choice… and was subconsciously spending my next payslip!
My hair was initially down but the hair stylist decided it would look good off my face, now I hate my hair tied up as I feel my face is quite round so doesn’t suit… but to my surprise I loved it and a top knot has been in my hair constantly since! I felt amazing having my hair and make up done.
I had two outfits and I must admit my favourite was the grey top and black skirt, which do you prefer?
The day was absolutely fantastic but was over before I could blink. I was so lucky to even be chosen and to spend a day with my four new gorgeous blogger buddies.
The experience only confirmed all the more that the ‘frumpy’ tag of a supermarket clothing company was a thing of the past. If you want to see how our day really went make sure you check out the video below and have a peak at the F&F Blogger Partywear.

And you my dear xx
My top Part Tip is play music & have adrink while getting ready to go out, it gets you in the mood for a great night
Good Music, Good Food and most of all good friends.
Start to get ready in plenty of time in case of any mistakes! Oh yes, and have a drink to hand!
Have a few drinks before you go out
Always make sure I've got those fold up flats in my bag when my huge show stopper heels start to hurt !
Always take a small emergency make-up kit in your handbag
always make sure you eat before drinking.
Always plan your getting ready list.
YYou don't want to hav to whack you fake tan on ten mins before leaving the house to turn orange during the night.
Alternate your drinks between soft and alcoholic so you can last longer!!
As an older lady I would say be comfortable in what you wear and dress appropriately for your age and dress size! If you feel comfortable you will have a great time. 😀
take some fold up shoes in your bag 🙂 you won't regret it!
I always drink some water before I leave and water when I get home – no hangovers to ruin the reflection of a great party!
All you really need is good company, the rest follows!
HAVE A FEW DRINKS AT HOME- WORKS OUT ALOT CHEAPER LOL
Be comfortable, love what you are wearing and don't try too hard to have a good time
Top tip is to always prepare the food first and carry an emergency lipgloss
Eh I don't party often but I do like dressing up so I'd say footwear is very important in terms of comfort. A one inch heel is better for feet than flats and soft wedges or platforms (4-5" not above) can save an evening of torment and possible days of aching afterwards. With wedges, it can be hard to find comfortable ones nowadays but even cork ones can be disguised with fabric paint and/or decorations such as beading or sequins so match an outfit.
I always prepare all the food well in advance. Then I can enjoy the party with my guests.
Lots of good music!
Always have enough money for a taxi home.
Plan in advance!
Make sure you never run out of wine!
Keep the wine flowing
comfortable yet fabulous shoes! hate having to take off great heels to dance just because they hurt!
always have something to eat before drinking.
Always inform your neighbours about holding a forthcoming party and try to be a little considerate about music and noise of car doors slamming to avoid complaints spoiling the fun
move any expensive ornaments before your guests arrive in case of accidents
Enjoy yourself, don't worry about how you look.
Don't get too drunk so that you can still walk in your highest of heels!
Laura Harris
Go to a nice posh place as you do have more fun.
dress up, invite good company and share the load by getting everyone to bring a dish and a bottle
Compare outfits with your friends, you don't want to end up wearing the same, love your grey top and black skirt outfit, it really suits you, want to get the top myself
For me I like dressing up in dramatic outfits almost like a kid with a dressing up box. It adds to the fun and excitement of an evening for me. @WrightyH
use music that is easy to sing and dance to.
good music, great food and great guests
fold up shoes in your bag for the trip home!
Good Buffet nothing tacky or sticky and good company by pauline simpson
Music, wine & friends
Always have fun!
to make sure and have lots of fun!
Ashleigh
Go determined to have fun – normally works
always bring some baby wipes for any spills
take a pair of flat shoes in your bag for later on when your feet are hurting!
Be flexible – don't over-plan everything.
Always make a nice punch for your guests helps the drinks go further, small drinkers usually have a couple and it gets everyone in the party mood and it doesn't cost a fortune *it's down to you how strong you make it)
Give thought to the guest list so that there is a good mix of personalities, so everyone will get on well.
ai always have a glass of milk one hour before I go to line my stomach
Good company
Have fun, enjoy yourself and dance the night away 🙂 x
Defo good music and good company 🙂
Don't be so busy being hostess that you haven't time to enjoy yourself and drink wisely!
Good music and good company!
Make a playlist
Go out with good friends that you trust
Good food..enough to drink …good music ..and good friends
Drink in moderation don't spoil your night and others by being a drunk
Lynsey Buchanan
Always take a pair of tights in your handbag for the journey home!
Talk to people – don't stand there like a lemon!
Turn up!
Lots of people
lucky you how did u get picked for that? my top tip is to get a large range of personalities so the party goes well
Food that's not too messy (you don't want to spill on your pretty dress!), good music, great friends and comfy shoes! x
Lots of fun activities for everyone to get involved in!
Keep the conversation interesting but light so there is an easy atmosphere. Don't get into politics, religion or gossip.
Just have a good time, regardless!
don't ever leave your drink and work that Smokey eye a night out must
Katie k
Killer heels look fab but sneak a pair of folding pumps in your bag for the journey home.
Ask a few friends to come earlier and help you to prepare or arrange the food. A variety of finger food or family style servings is a good bet.
Never drink too much it spoils the party for you and others
dont stress about the mess until after the party
get ready with friends and have a drink 🙂
Spare tights for emergency and a pair of flip flops to wear home in your handbag!
An awesome playlist
You all looked so pretty, I think the grey/black combo was my favourite too – I really liked the embellishment. Keep a pair of foldable pumps and a tote bag for when the night is over and your heels are killing your feet! 😉
Tara xo
Always bed in heel before the night out. x
have a drink to relax beforehand but too many dont want to end up sozzled before the party starts!! and pace yourself throughout!
When serving drinks use stores own brand alcohol but have on show empty bottles of the brand names you're guests will never know the difference!!
Gel pads in shoes – always a winner
Be comfortable in what you are wearing, including your shoes. water bottle in bag.
Get your food ready the night before.
plan your party the day before, so that it all goes smoothly
drink until you can't lie on the floor without holding on! 🙂
Listen to music and have a cheeky drink when getting ready – Gel pads are your friend and take a spare pair of tights (nail varnish) Lip Gloss and Body Spray.
Although really my main party tip is GLITTER
My party tip is to make sure that you're wearing gel foot cushions/party feet if you've got skyscraper heels on. Your feet will thank you and you'll have a better time as you'll be in less pain.
There is absolutely no reason why today can't be the greatest party we have ever had! @anna8301
Top Tip take a photo of yourself BEFORE you go out that way when ya share it no regrets lol
Have an emergency £10 stashed in your purse for a taxi home if needed.
Keep your handbag filled with essentials – lip gloss, tissues, phone, mirror, etc. So you're prepared for anything!
Having people who are good at mixing so that there are no awkward silences!!
give little jobs to the shy people (taking coats, handing out drinks, etc) to help them break the ice
Have a variety of music to put on dependant on mood and peoples taste.
If you don't feel like going to this party, it will probably be one of the best ones in your life 🙂
Always take our make up wipes with you, raccoon is not a good look! 🙂
Plan ahead!
always take a decent bottle of drink and tic tacs!
Always make sure you have plans for getting home safely at the end of the night! 🙂 x
eat a huge meal before you go and sip your drinks slowly
always line your stomach before drinking
always make sure you eat before drinking.
mingle and join in conversations don't be a wallflower
Comfy shoes to enjoy the party!
Have fun!
If I am having a party – my tips are -have a designated photo snapper who doesn't drink -what fun for those memorable snaps !! have the cheaper booze for when people have reached the 'dont care what I drink' stage and make sure there is plenty of cheaper food in the fridge for after your presentable buffet has been annihilated.
If drinking alcohol, don't drink too much and have some soft drinks or water in between.
Make sure you have your painkillers stocked up!
Good drinks (loosen you up a little), tasty nibbles (to soak the alcohol up), great tunes – even if they are quietly heard in the background and surround yourself with fabulous people!! 😀
some good fun party games to break the ice 🙂
dont take make up with you to reapply later- it wont look good after a few drinks 🙂
Plan ahead and be prepared for anything
Just enjoy yourself! xxx
Plan ahead, cook ahead, organise ahead and enjoy
Dont get to drunk cos it gets embarrassing.
Good Music, good food, good friends
I always prepare everything the night before, that way, you can pamper yourself on the day and really enjoy yourself instead of panicking with last minute preparations.
Enjoy yourself and have fun but don't embarrass yourself or you might regret it!!!!
Relax and pamper yourself beforehand
Don't try too hard. Keep the food tasty but simple and easy, have a mix of soft drinks available, for the drivers and non drinkers, and if you can, have a nap, or at least a quiet half hour before the mayhem begins.
My party tip is to use throwaway plates, cutlery and cups so that you have less mess to clear up after 🙂
Simple food, good friends and good music
Emergency cash!!
Plenty of food and drink – always better to have too much than not enough!
Keep the food light and easy to make so you can enjoy yourself as your guests oh and lots of wine
And you my dear
Homemade cocktails before you go out 🙂
dont stress and just enjoy yourself thats my tip x
Have fun!
Don't waste time fretting because you will miss out on all the fun! If having a party at yours get every guest to brink a drink and an item of party food – saves the host a lot of work and can make for an interesting selection! x
If hosting a party i would recommend having 2 bins in the kitchen – one for food waste and the other for recyclable bottles/tins – saves time in the morning!
no matter what happens remember its meant to be fun for everyone if people offer help accept it. Have a side in the kitchen ready for dirty plates glasses etc and 2 bins ready 1 for rubbish and 1 for cans/bottles.
Something savory and sweet to snack on and a happy atmosphere with amicable people. Alcohol is good but remember that some people cannot control themselves after drinking too much. Sometimes I think people should consider having two separate parties than one large one. Some friends may not get along with others and it can ruin the atmosphere for everyone and make the hostess feel like she is walking on eggshells. There isn't anything worse than being invited to a party or having a party knowing that people cannot stand each other and it may kick off at any moment. All the guests will feel the tension even if they are not involved in the situation and it can put a quick damper on a party. I come from a very large family and there are times when people don't get a long and they still go to every party. This is why I recommend activities! When people play a fun games or a fun activity they lighten up Find fun games or activities to keep people occupied. A good game can make it fun for everyone. Taboo, catch phrase, wii games, etc.
Eat before you go out, and alternate wine with water!!
Remember that other people feel shy too – just go up and say hello
Pace yourself. No good getting straight into the drinks when you get there. That's not easy if you go into a party where you don't know everyone. However, make sure you are happy with your appearance and keep on the right side of sober…and enjoy !
It's not about where you are that makes a party great but who you are with. So have fun.
alway eat before a party and rotate your drinks, alcohol, juice, alcohol juice, etc.. and drink plenty of water before going to bed.
Good Company!!
Have fun be safe
Be sociable, but intimidating. To to draw out others who might be on the sidelines by involving them in various conversations. It's always nice to feel you're helped others enjoy an occasion.
I always have a pair of Butterfly Twists in my handbag.
Don't drink too much!
And btw you look gorgeous, esp in the skater skirt!
Alternate soft drinks with alcoholic ones – you'll last longer and feel better in the morning 🙂
You look so amazing! Both outfits are great but I do agree I prefer the one with the grey top and black skirt, I would wear that one over the other one although I do think you rock the red skirt! My top party tip is take comfy shoes as I always start the evening off in heels and wear some soft flats at the end of the evening or for dancing, or otherwise I end up in bare feet – the perfect opportunity for dirty/injured feet – so flats it is!x
Stay classy! 🙂
always carry tissues
Surround yourself in friends as you get ready and go out feeling confident 🙂
i always put some ballerina's in my handbag , in case my feet can't handle the high heels any more
Prepare your outfit the day before so there's no rush on the night
Look for someone who looks as ill at ease as you do and try to focus on chatting with them
If you're planning the party… be prepared and remain calm at all times!!! If attending… relax and have fun!
let your hair down and just have fun
Plan well beforehand, but once the party has started enjoy it!
Make sure you provide nice nibbles to go with the drinks so no one gets too drunk, dress comfortably and smart so your feet dont hurt half way through the night x
My top Part Tip is use throw away cups and plates to stop having loads of washing up 🙂
Carb filled meal before you go out as they slow body absorption of alcohol. So you can party all night without getting drunk within first few hours
Always carry flat shoes in your car/bag so you can change out of the killer heels when your feet start to hurt
Chill out, have fun or theirs no point in having a party in the first place!
Start to get ready in plenty of time
Plenty to eat and drink
Organization.and send invites in plenty of time.plenty to eat and drink
My top tip is to exfoliate and prepare your skin the day before
It is always better to have large quantities of a few things – cheese, party food, wine – than lots choices but in very small portions. It is more welcoming to the guest, who isn’t fearful of taking too much, and it is much easier (in terms of energy and money) on the host 🙂
Be glam but be comfortable too take a pair of flat shoes with you for later in the night!
prepare your outfit a day before
Always eat before eating, and take a spare pair of flats for later in the evening. 🙂
my top party tip is to have a disco nap before you go out for the evening
have a good range of music
have some snacks before you go out
be around good friends
Is to make cocktails! Always fun to try out new ones. I get my guests to bring an ingredient each 🙂
make sure you drink plenty of water to keep hydrated between alcoholic drinks
I always use Lemon or Lime slices that I've kept in the freezer in the drinks I pour for guests, that way nothing is watered down by ice cubes!
remember to mingle with guest and have fun even though your the host.
Debbie creasey
Inside the invites ask guests to send you 1 or 2 of their favourite songs and burn the songs on a cd and there's your party music. You can also send everyone home with one as a party favour.
Wow some of the photos look great! I love the black skirt. My favourite party tip is the old classic to alternate alcoholic drinks and soft drinks. No hangover or regrets!!
Put a glass of water next to your bed before you go out so you remember to drink it when you get n to avoid that hangover
Always put spare money in your bag incase you lose your purse! I've done it many times!
take fold up shoes, so you can walk in shoes when your feet tired
Enjoy it! And make sure you can remember it!
good food, good drink and a good crowd of friends
My top party tip is that if you are drinking alcohol make sure you you have a small glass of water for each drink you have – you'll feel so much better for it the day after! 🙂
Be organised. Always have what your wearing set out to save time. Have fun, : )
Get everything ready in advance
Never overplan. It ruins what is supposed to be a stress free night. I take my budget phone out as it's very hardy and survives many a dink and knock 🙂
Dont spend all night in the kitchen!!
If it's your party – have food that is easy to eat. Nothing worse than trying to balance a plate, a glass and manage some fiddly buffet stuff!
Drink plenty of water, preferably one glass in between each alcoholic drink
Be Dazzling
get very drunk
If you are going out to a party, always have your travel plans prearranged before you go out so you aren't waiting in the cold alone for taxis.
ALWAYS take a pair of flats to rest those party feet!!
flat fold up shoes to save your feet
get ready with friends 🙂
Drink some milk before you start drinking alcohol as it lines your stomach and then when you get home, drink water before you go to bed! Another tip is get your mates round before you go out and have a few drinks before leaving, this dill make the night less expensive as you won't need to drink so much when you are out!
My top party tips are turn getting ready into a pre-party fun zone! Turn up the music, get some friends over, pamper yourselves over a glass of wine and then put on your glad rags ready to go! The most important party tip though in my opinion, is always make sure, that before you go, you organise how you are getting home, whether it be to pre-book a taxi or minibus, or a lift, it's vital to ensure you can get home safely when all the fun is over!
Always take some flat shoes in your bag,for the way home
If its your party, invite as many guests as your venue will hold. Providing lots of different personalities into the mix, will help your party swing!
baby wipes for spillages
if hosting a party – try and get as many jobs done the day before, like party nibbles etc, get them made and put in the fridge etc
Don't drink on an empty stomach
emergency flats for dancing all night without the pain! x
As great as it is looking amazing, it isn't worth looking that good if all you want is to be back home due to being in pain from shoes, or feeling uncomfortable in what you're wearing. So wear something that you feel good in, but what is also comfortable.
Drink plenty of water, or other non-alcoholic drinks over the night, eat properly before going out, and have fun getting ready, gte friends round to get ready together with music turned up to dance away to while having a good laugh.
Make sure you don't go out on an empty belly!
Have a drink whilst getting ready and line the stomach x
Mine is if hosting delegate some of the jobs , you be amazed how much wee ones can help..SOMETIMES lol x
Always go with a full stomach, take flat shoes and keep an eye on your drinks.
Good company, good food (prepared as much in advance as possible) & just relax and enjoy x
give yourself plenty of time to get dressed and make sure you have the next day off work x
I generally find I always need more wine and less food so I adjust my catering accordingly! Best to have some food quite early on so that everyone doesn't get too sloshed!
Buy yourself something new to wear so you'll feel a million dollars.
A good outfit, company and wine!
make lots of time to get ready, so you can enjoy the run up to the party and be relaxed knowing you've had enough time to beautify 🙂 xx
Having a good time is about your mind set, try not to stress too much about what your wearing/hair/makeup etc. Plan your outfit in advance or if its a last minute invite just wear something you always feel comfortable in x
Listen to music with a drink or two whilst getting dressed up, to get you in the party mood!! 🙂
Share a bottle of wine with friends prior to the party starting… 😉
My top tip is boring but vital – don't drink too much alcohol, know your limit and stick to it so you don't make a fool of yourself or do anything stupid or dangerous.
Get ready well in advance & go with a friend as its always less awkward than turning up on your own! Also take a coat or jacket because its usually a lot colder by the end of the night!
A few top party tips! First, line your tummy before the boozing begins! I always have a slice of toast before I drink, secondly, alternate your drinks with a glass of water, as this will stop part of the hangover the next day which will be through dehydration! And thirdly, if you do get sozzled, don't try drinking coffee to sober yourself, as coffee will just make you feel more drunk! Stick to water! 🙂 Ps you all looked really lovely! Great styles there!
Just turn up and enjoy the party, if you go with the intention of really appreciating the host's efforts it makes the whole thing more of a treat.

Prepare in advance saves stress on the day
No sticky buns they could ruin peoples outfits
preparation is everything. If everything is organised then you dont have to be rushing around like a headless chicken at the last minute. All you have to worry about then is how you look and looking after everyone else. x
set out all the booze and take it in turns to make a cocktail that everyone has to drink 🙂
Buy some small bottles of water and give one to each guest as they leave to drink on the way home . They'll thank you in the morning !
never be the host
comfortable shoes
drink before you go out to save money and dont take your card to stop overspending when drunk x
Have something to eat before you go so you're not starving and tempted to pig out on too much party food. If you are drinking, pace yourself and alternate with non-alcoholic drinks. Wear comfortable shoes!
Tissues in your bag as every toilet always runs out of loo roll 🙂
Lots of lipgloss!
Take your flats along!
Don't drink too much…you want to be able to remember the night
Relax & shake your booty!
Looking Good and Sexy.
