New Year Social Style 2014

The party season is over?  Is it?  Well according to to the standard rules of January yes, but who says we need to follow the rules?!

I have decided as a New Years Resolution I am going to have an active January… but that’s come to a stand still as I currently have chicken pox (which I haven’t a clue how I’ve caught).  Illness aside I have decided to be a social butterfly and see and  do lots, so I’ve created some looks for various social gatherings.

Coffee with a friend

Dress – River Island Tartan Skater Dress – £50.00

Coat – Topshop Collarless Check Wool Jacket – £85.00

Bag – Cambridge Satchel Company Brit Punk – £159.00

Tights – Falke Wine Tights – £10.00 SALE ITEM

For this look I’ve decided to go for the ultimate tartan outfit.  Spring is no where near yet and whilst we’re still embracing AW13 then I want to really absorb as much tartan as possible! I’ve clashed quite a bit but somehow I feel it works and of course is all rich, warming tones for a crisp January look.  I’d certainly say this was perfect look for a catch up over a coffee with a friend… what do you think?

I adore this French Connection black dress as there is a perfect combination between chic but sexy, which is quite honestly ideal for a romantic meal out. Instead of keeping the look with dark colour throughout I’ve simply splashed a touch of yellow and used the hashtag Anna Lou of London #Gorgeous to give it a playful edge…. plus are those shoes not the most amazing things?!

An active January sounds quite nice. I hope your chicken pox goes away quickly though, and that you can eventually have an active one.

My favorite outfit is the cocktails with the girls! It's so snazzy! I am quite in love with that pencil skirt, so beautiful.
