May 2016 Must-Haves // Fashion, Beauty, Home

Finally my winter coat is back in the wardrobe and my pastel tones, and light summer jackets are officially out! Hurrah! So we are nearly into June which is a ridiculously scary thought don’t you think?! Even scarier is that it’ll then only be a month until I celebrate my 1st year wedding anniversary. How quick has that zipped round? I mean my garden looks like a jungle of green, (or something out of Jurassic Park) and I swear birds have decided to nest in my roof! If that doesn’t mean summer is here then I don’t know what!

Regardless of all that we’re in May and weather is beginning to behave itself, so bye bye winter shades, hello summer beauty. Let’s see what we have in store and if I can give you some May bank holiday inspiration…

Ivy Park Crew Neck Jumper // You can pick up Ivy Park items from Topshop and I have this grey one in a size bigger – it’s great to throw on before the gym or just as casual wear.

Superdry Boy Short Baroque Rose Dungarees // Loving dungarees at the moment. I fell head over heels in love with these cuties from Superdry, it just makes a big change from bog standard blue denim don’t you think? Perfect with a simple white tshirt underneath.

F&F Blue Mid Wash Denim Jacket // To totally go against the above statement about bog standard denim, a classic blue denim jacket is always a must in my eyes. It works for so many things in summer, because let’s face it British weather is dodgy!

Vans Chambray Slip-On Trainers // I LOVE these. I adore Vans anyway which many of you know, hence why they star in my must-haves twice this month. Having a pair of slip on trainers but in this gorgeous peach tone makes them ideal for summer.

Accessorize Felicity Floral Clutch // I spied this in Accessorize Covent Garden when I was having a brief shopping trip with Rachel from Lady M Presents. I find Accessorize bags are always on the mark in summer time, because they work so well for weddings and garden parties. I still have one I bought 3 years ago covered in pansies! This one is certainly on my radar for the weddings I’m attending this year.

Cambridge Satchel Folio Backpack // I have been using my black Fiorelli backpack this week quite a bit, so I had to chose something that was similar to that. I didn’t want black for my must-haves, so a lilac satchel turned backpack is great for summer trips out.

Vans Beach Girl Trucker Cap // I think hats are actually a real wise move in the summer, whether you want a big floppy hat or a baseball cap. Keeping the sun off your head is something you need to consider. I love a classic trucker hat and this would be the kind of thing I’d wear on a day walking into town in the sunshine.

Wilkos Pink Peonies Vase // Had to add some home into this months post, and quite clearly pink false flowers will now be booting out my other winter toned ones.

Boohoo Lily Mirrored Double Brow Aviators // These bad boys have a slight tint to them with of course the classic aviator style.

Daisy Dixon Kylie Iridescent Watch // Big fan of watches with my ever growing collection, but having something dainty and pretty is what I’m looking for this summer. The details and tones of the strap will really compliment many summer looks.

Essie Spring 2016 Nail Polish // Bye bye berry tones hello peaches, nudes and pastels. Enough said on this one really – plus everyone knows Essie are awesome.

There you go! Hopefully with it being PAYDAY!!! You’ll now feel inspired to go spruce up your wardrobes and homes with a little inspiration. What have you been buying I need to check out?
