I’m in a travel related quarantine at the moment after my visit to France, it’s safe to say being that I’m on day 9 now, boredom has well and truly set in. Active and outdoors is my forte, and I can’t do that, so to try and ‘distract’ myself, I’ve been spending time concentrating on my home. That can be anything from DIY to the joyous tasks I’ve put off, such as sorting out the Tupperware cupboard (serious who steals all the lids!). Mundane chores are not fun, like, really not fun and motivation has dwindled, so we decided to have a little fun with the help of Bassetts Vitamins.
Who are Bassetts Vitamins?
Bassetts Vitamins aren’t just for kids, it’s true. I assumed all the chewy related vitamins were just for kids, but to my delight I discovered that Bassetts Vitamins has a particular offering just for adults with their Multivitamins in Raspberry & Pomegranate Flavour
This was a bit of a revelation because only are they super flavoursome, but also super easy to consume because they are soft and chewy. Each multivitamin pastille is tailored with a balance of nutrients, including Vitamin C to support the immune system and Vitamin B6 to help release energy from food and to support the balance of hormonal activity. What’s not to love!
I hate mundane tasks
Vacuuming, dusting, washing up, and sorting out all that camping washing out (seriously, there was loads), are all tasks that have gradually chipped away at my housebound sanity. They are boring and it takes a rare person to say they enjoy those tasks, and quite frankly, I’m jealous of those people because it’d be lovely to wake up and get excited about pegging out the washing. With this all in mind, I was delighted to get a team up with Bassetts Vitamins, to help make all those household chores into something fun. Sign me up!
It turns out I’m really not alone with all this, as over half (55%) of adults state that they find their everyday chores mundane because they are missing the ‘fun element’. Bassetts Vitamins understand the benefits of putting the fun into functional chores/tasks, so bring on the challenges…
The vacuum race course
Instead of vacuuming my lounge, up and down and back and forth in that soul destroying repetition, Bassetts Vitamins suggested I make a race course. A race course to vacuum? Genius idea! We marked out a race course in the lounge and starting timing how quick I could do it. I’m competitive as it is, so we stopped at the best out of 5 otherwise I’d be doing it all day. To my surprise actually finishing the task I needed to do originally (vacuuming my lounge), felt easy and bizarrely enjoyable – did I just say that?!
The washing line dash
I really don’t like putting my washing indoors because it doesn’t air as well, so where possible I’ll peg it outside. I have a long washing line, not one of those fancy rotary ones, which means it feels like an equally long task trudging the length of the garden each time. Bassetts Vitamins suggested we do a washing line dash, so I’d grab my washing (which in this case was all of my gym leggings), peg them out as quick as possible whilst being timed. Once I read the challenge my competitive side emerge ready for action.
The washing up dip
It’s a standing joke in our house that it took 5 years begging my husband to get a dishwasher. I had dishpan hands and was so fed up of washing up. We have a small compact kitchen so he did have to chop out cupboards to get one in, but just like wearing him down to get a dog, I finally got a dishwasher. As you know dishwashers can’t fit or wash everything, so sometimes I’m tasks with the dreadful washing up role.
Luckily, Bassetts Vitamins gave another great challenge to make the most hated chore, interesting. My husband the adjudicator with a list of items in my washing up bowl, he would call them out and I’d need to find them as quick as possible in the bowl, wash them up quickly and pass them over. Obviously all timed of course!

Bassetts Vitamins for the win!
This certainly made Day 9 in my 14 day quarantine interesting, and to make it even better my husband and I raced each other. The dog was extremely confused with what exactly was going on! But looking at my experience with Bassetts Vitamins before taking them, I’d realised how I’d not been looking after myself properly.
Since lockdown I’ve not eaten very well, and I couldn’t have told you when I had a piece of fruit last. As an active person, that’s ridiculous, so having a healthy, balanced diet and taking my daily Bassetts Vitamins Multivitamin in Raspberry & Pomegranate Flavour for Adults is a great way to help support me.
