I’m Annie Brooks — writer, content creator and digital marketer, and the person behind Tales of Annie Bean, soon to become The Brooks Edit.

I’ve spent years working in digital and creative marketing, alongside writing, creating video content and building my own little corner of the internet. I work with brands and businesses on everything from words and content to bigger creative ideas — so, if you like what I do, you can hire me to do it for you too.

Why work with me?

I’ve got a strong background in digital marketing, particularly within the creative industries, and I’ve worked with clients across a huge variety of sectors. That experience means I can adapt to different audiences and tones of voice without producing content that sounds like it could belong to absolutely anyone.

I’m naturally curious too. Travel, beauty, wellbeing, fitness, triathlon, film, lifestyle and whatever else I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole about that week — having a genuinely broad range of interests has always shaped the way I write and create.

And after years spent both working in digital and creating my own content, I understand both sides of the relationship. I know what brands need from content, but I also understand what makes an audience actually want to engage with it.

What can I do?

I offer freelance copywriting, website and editorial content, creative writing, social media content and management, video and YouTube content, and wider digital marketing support.

I’m also available for talks, panels and events, including conversations around digital and social media, as well as my own experiences within sport, epilepsy, resilience and taking on some fairly ridiculous challenges along the way.

For brands interested in working with me as a creator, I’m happy to discuss partnerships, sponsored editorial, social content, reviews, experiences and dedicated video projects.

I particularly love collaborations that feel like a natural fit. If you’ve spent any time around here, you’ll know I’m far more interested in having something genuine to say than pretending to love something because somebody sent it to me.
