On my recent trip to Costa Rica I was invite by my friends at Aspire Club to their Aspire lounge at London Gatwick North before my flight. There is nothing more satisfying to me then checking my luggage in, getting through security then relaxing in club lounge. To me this is the point every holiday begins!
Some people are unsure on whether an airport lounge is worth it, and I’ll tell you now, as a frequent traveller and an airport lounge advocate since 2015 – yes it is. This time I was visiting my 2nd Aspire lounge at London Gatwick North terminal. Was this going to be the same experience as I had at Luton? Would it be as good? I was excited to find out!
How to find the Aspire Gatwick North lounge
The Aspire lounge at London Gatwick North terminal is easy to locate after you’ve got through security and go into departures. How can you find the lounge?
- Once through passport control, turn left and follow signs for ‘Lounges’
- Go past Duty Free on your left and continue walking
- Turn right into the lounge pavilion
- Take the lift or stairs to level 1
First impressions
We were there very early as our flight was a morning departure, so it was an extremely calm environment. There were many seats in quite a small space, but it didn’t look cramped. There was a bar area, and an island of food for guests to help themselves too. Staff were friendly and helpful, which made for a great first impression.
The Food
The food they do provide is both tasty and it ticks all boxes. They do the basics – well! You have your classic hearty hot breakfast, cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, granola, pastries, bread and porridge. There are also soft drinks and of course, teas and coffees. They also have a water station where guests can help themselves to.
My Aspire experience
Once we were in and sat down I felt immediately relaxed. I grabbed a cappuccino from the machine, and started to check out the food available. It was early in the morning so for this club lounge visit I was all about the breakfast! By opting for a club lounge at an airport you’ll not only get relaxation, not have to fight over seats, but you’ll also save money on food. You can eat and drink as much as you’d like whilst in the Aspire lounge at London Gatwick North.

How long can you stay?
The standard time allowed to remain in the Aspire lounge at London Gatwick North is 3 hours, but if you book directly with Aspire and you’re flight is for any reason delayed, you can remain in there until your flight departs.
How much does it cost?
Whenever I tell people that I always book into a airport lounge when I travel, they assume it’s really expensive – when it honestly isn’t! Prices to book into the Aspire lounge at London Gatwick North are from £18.49 per adult.
Thank you to Aspire for inviting me to their club lounge before my flight in December. It was a great experience which both myself and Nick thoroughly enjoyed, we got to eat, charge, relax and do some work before we had a long haul flight.
