Looking for a bite in Huntington Beach but don’t know where to start? Check out a quick roundup of our favourites below. They are broadly in $$$ order, although obviously this has no bearing on the quality, more that it goes from quick bite up to stylish dining experience. Have we missed anything? What’s your favourite place to eat in Huntington Beach?

Sanchos Tacos

This Huntington Beach staple is an absolute must! An equal draw for locals and out-of-towners alike, Sanchos sits right on the corner of PCH and 6th, just a 2 minute walk from Main Street. All the SoCal taco faves are here, super fresh and with sea-view outside seating. Perfect! – Guests of Visit HB

Cruisers Pizza Bar Grill

Looking for a laid back, friendly tavern style bar with great food, regular live music and all the sport?! Cruisers is for you! We’ve made sure to visit on both of our HB vacays, the sliders and sharing platters pair beautifully with any of the huge number of tap beers and if you’re really hungry, check out the enormous pizzas! It’s a great place to strike up a conversation too, everyone is super friendly here – We paid full price for all aspects of our visits

Rubys on the Pier

When you think of Ruby’s in Southern California you know EXACTLY what to expect and boy, HB doesn’t disappoint! Well does it ever?! The red roof building on the end of the iconic pier, houses an equally iconic dining experience. Step back in time to the halcyon days of rock n roll in this gloriously authentic diner. Huge portions, lovely staff and stunning views, don’t miss it. Sidenote; We spied an awesome tiki bar vibe upstairs but we’re yet to visit, we’ll keep you updated!- We paid full price for all aspects of our visits

Sushi On Fire

This little gem was recommended to us by a SoCal native as her ‘secret’ pick in Huntington Beach. What a great find! An enormous menu that seems a little overwhelming to begin with, but really helpful and friendly staff help navigate and recommend. You can stand by the glass and watch the chefs create your California rolls, plus it’s reasonably priced too. The best Sushi we’ve had in CA by far. – We paid full price for all aspects of our visits

Ola Mexican Kitchen

Part of the impressive Pacific City shopping and dining destination that runs adjacent to the beach along the PCH, Ola Mexican Kitchen is a stunning venue for authentic Mexican cuisine. As well as the amazing food menu, the Margaritas are crazy good, try not to get carried away! – Guests of Visit HB

Pacific Hideaway

Technically a part of the Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel, Pacific Hideaway definitely holds its own as a standalone venue. The decor is shabby beach gorgeous, we especially love the swing seats and the Pier view terrace for people watching. Serving from lazy breakfast right through to stylish dinner, it’s a place we go back to again and again for delicious food and really fun cocktails. – Guests of Visit HB and returned to visit as full price customers

Dukes Huntington Beach

Oh Dukes, you hold such a special place in our hearts! Dukes was our first ever HB restaurant and what a way to start. From its picture perfect location at the foot of the pier, its expansive deck and enormous windows frame the beach, where as evening falls the sunsets are a spiritual experience! Named for Hawaiian surfing pioneer Duke Kahanamoku, this HB stalwert serves the most incredible seafood in the heart of Surf City USA. Everyone should experience Duke’s once, we guarantee it won’t be enough though! – Guests of Visit HB

Bluegold

Even surf bums like us like to scrub up now and again and enjoy the finer things in life. Bluegold definitely counts as the finer things! Bluegolds menu is the epitome of understated cuisine, where the focus is on ingredients and flavour, not tiny portions and fancy presentation. A superb wine menu that celebrates the best of Calfornian produce and really attentive servers makes Bluegold more than just dinner, it’s a genuinely superb, yet thoroughly unpretentious, dining experience. – Guests of Visit HB
